Coastal Metals Cold Air Induction System

Below is the Stock Intake System currently on the Honda S2000

The Air Induction System uses the pre-existing side vents to force Airflow into the intake air chamber. As the air enters the side vents it Is sent via two flexible hoses into the air chamber in front of the condenser. This extra airflow is used to decrease the temperature of the radiator, and increase air volume to the condenser, Engine, and air cleaner. This is also known as a cold air induction System. This extra cold air improves the airflow, and distributes it more evenly. Therefore, the Cold Air Induction System works with outside ambient air conditions to help decrease the temperature of the air cleaner intake and the water-cooled engine.

The copyright design of the Coastal Metals Grill and cold air induction system incorporates the least air restriction for the application of protecting the S2000. With the addition of the grill pieces, the Honda S2000 is protected from rocks, bugs, and debris. The grill

is used as a filter to protect the condenser while driving the Honda S2000.

The Coastal Metals Air Induction System requires approximately two to three hours for installation. The Tools required for installation are a DREMEL Cutting tool, screw driver, hex driver, and common house hold hand tools. The DREMEL tool is needed to cut the existing side grill opening. Mounting Clips for the assembly are put into place after the cut is completed. A round hole is then cut on both sides in front of the condenser (pattern included). The flexible hose is weaved into the side grill opening and attaches to the side intake inside the air box opening. Next the side intake is bolted to the existing mounting hardware. This procedure is repeated for the opposite side intake. The optional side grills are then attached to filter debris out of the intake.
